Funny thing about echoes.
They aren't really the original sound. They're what comes back.
Memories can be like that too. A song you haven't heard in years suddenly takes you somewhere you haven't thought about in forever. A photograph brings back an entire night. A familiar place reminds you of someone. Sometimes it's just a sound, a few words, or one tiny thing that unlocks something you thought you'd forgotten.
Ofrenda has its own echoes.
They're in the music we keep coming back to, the places we've built, the stories we tell, and the pieces of ourselves that somehow find their way into this strange little world we've made together.
So this week, we're listening for them. Welcome to Echoes.
After Dark
This week's submissions were truly stunning. You found the beauty in Ofrenda after the sun had gone to sleep, capturing glowing lights, deep shadows, and the strange little magic that seems to appear when night settles over the sim.
Echoes
How do you picture an echo? Could it be a reflection or a rhythmic repetition? Perhaps a shadow, a familiar face, a distant memory, or a forgotten place? Maybe it is something once lost that you have managed to rediscover, or simply a corner of Ofrenda that strikes a resonant, familiar chord.
Capture and show us your interpretation of Echoes.

Coming soon
Afterneath · August 29
We're going underground again. Afterneath returns for another four hours beneath the sim filled with music, atmosphere, and several hours during which we're all going to pretend daylight isn't a thing.
Chill Under the Stars · September 5
Come settle in at the Observatory beneath the Ofrenda sky for music, conversation, and one of our considerably more civilized evenings.
Campfire Ghost Stories · September
The fire will be lit again this September. Bring a story of your own or simply come listen. Just remember that eventually you'll have to walk back through Ofrenda afterward. Alone. Sweet dreams.
Keep chasing the echoes.
While certain echoes fade almost instantly, others linger in the air. Keep an eye out this week for the moments that awaken something from before, whether it's a familiar face, a classic song, a treasured photograph, a place you know well, or simply a feeling.
You don't need to pursue every memory, but a few are well worth lingering over.
